The elephant suddenly kicked the second papaan who was standing near the front leg of the elephant. The man on the elephant jumped off and escaped. Another employee of the temple miraculously escaped from the elephant. After the first papan worked hard and controlled the elephant, Samichan's body was able to be taken from under the feet of the elephant. He died on the way to Vaikom Taluk Hospital.
