Two men were arrested this Monday (06), in Itabira, in the Center of the State, after participating in the attempted robbery of a 33-year-old woman.

A home security camera caught the entire action. The woman was approached by the suspect in the middle of the street. He wanted to get her backpack and she didn't deliver. Then the criminal pushed the victim who fell and injured his face. A bus with workers was passing along the street at the time of the action. Indignant, the people got off the bus and beat the suspect with punches and kicks. Another suspect, who was covering for the criminal, grabbed a glass bottle and threatened to beat people if they didn't move away from the suspect.

The two suspects fled the scene but were followed by a plainclothes police officer who was passing by. The first suspect, who assaulted the woman, was arrested at his home and offered no resistance.

The other suspect was also found at his home. He tried to resist arrest using a 4-month-old child as a human shield. The police managed to control the situation but, even so, the suspect broke the window of a car and still bit the arm of one of the military.

The prisoners were taken to the Emergency Room and then to the Police Station on duty, where they are at the disposal of justice.
