The capea de toros left four injured, 

two seriously with transfer to hospitals in Xalapa and Coatepec, and the rest were treated by paramedics in ambulances.



In the absence of the municipal president, Luis Yoval Maldonado; the sole trustee, 

Vicenta Muñoz Velazco; the first alderman, Ricardo Lozada Costeño; and the second and third councilors, 

Altagracia del Carmen Tlaxcalteco Cordoba, and Cecilia López Xotla, 

the press conference to publicize the balance of injured during the capea in Xico 

was in charge of the employee of a private company.



In the municipal palace of the person in charge of the Coordination of the 

Xico Ambulance System, of the GAPC Consultancy, Efraín Galván Gonzalez and the Municipal Civil Protection Coordinator, 

Alejandro Cortez Yoval stated that the bull fighting began at 12:00 p.m. and ended at 1:45 p.m.



During the device implemented for pre-hospital care, there were 17 ambulances, 

including vehicles from the Regulatory Center for Medical Emergencies (Crum); 

from the Red Cross of Xalapa and Coatepec; the Scorpion Emergency Medical Rescue Service; 

and the municipal Civil Protection of Xico.



Due to the severity of the injuries, two of the men who participated in the capea 

were seriously injured, for which it was necessary to transfer to the Regional Hospital of 

Xalapa "Doctor Luis F Nachón" and to the Hospital of Coatepec, explained Galván González.

“We had a balance of four injured, of which they are male, 

two of them were treated at the scene, 

it was not necessary to transfer them to a medical center, 

two had injuries although they were stable 

and it was necessary to transfer him to the Xalapa civil hospital and another to the Coatepec”.



He added that of the four seriously injured males, one was from Huamantla, 

Tlaxcala and the other from Coatepec; while the wounded treated in 

ambulances who did not require a transfer are from Xiqueños.



"They are seriously injured but are stable," he said.



Although the bull release was scheduled to end at 2:00 p.m.; 

The Protection Committee for the Bulls (ProToro) decided to finish 

15 minutes earlier because the 18 bulls were exhausted in the 26 degree heat in Xico, said Galván González.
