A man was shot and killed following a shooting inside a nightclub in Mexico,

after he reportedly opened fire on another patron inside the establishment.

 

“Just as he was leaving a bar that operates on the upper floor of Plaza Chapultepec, west of the capital of Potosí,

a young man between 22 and 25 years of age was shot with a firearm early this Sunday morning.

The victim had participated in an altercation inside the bar and when he left, around 3:02 am,

he was attacked. His body, inert, lay on the ground a few steps from the stairs leading down to the plaza.

The report was made to 911, so the San Luis Potosí State Attorney General’s Office (FGSLP)

became aware of what happened in the exclusive area of the Villas del Pedregal subdivision.

Going to the site, Expert Services personnel confirmed the death of the young man, who,

according to the first data, died after an alleged discussion or probable brawl.

Shortly after, the State Civil Guard of San Luis Potosí (GCESLP), for its part,

made the arrest of a person, who apparently is linked to this event.

A video that was distributed via social networks shows the moment before the murder. 

Where the now deceased holds a discussion with two young men at the door of the

bar accompanied by a young girl. Moments later, one of the youths he is arguing with throws a punch at him. 

Reason for which the victim takes out a gun from his clothes.

He makes a first attempt to shoot but the gun jams and after fixing it he makes a

second attempt and shoots but the video ends.

Seconds later, the gunman appears in a second clip with people trying to resuscitate him,

but there was nothing to do. He was shot in the chest, reportedly with the same weapon he was carrying.”
