R.I.P. doggo
I like to believe the pain of the kittens is mirrored with the pain of the dog. They have failed as gaurdians, does one bad act on top of another, make a good? No. I believe what these two did was unnacceptable, considering their experience as a human has durated 34-36 years. Unfortunately, few can craft a moral system that can avoid acts like these. The dog should have been forgiven for the way he was raised, his instinct. It is also in our nature to feel resentment to those who harm animals under our care. Should we suppress what we genuinely feel? That's up to us. Not everything is incontrevertible, a world where everyone is civilized and intelligent is only a dream. Social constructs can only dictate so much, our human nature will surface one way or another. And our nature will often be frowned upon by Society, we fear ourselves. The majority will never progress if this is subconsciously suppressed, we will be like this till the end of time. Perhaps, the day could come where we evolve to accept these feelings, but much more 'complications' would arise. We could never accept our deepest emotions and thoughts, we will remain in a shell we feel uncomfortable in.
