The US Government created a chemical called 2-4-5 Trioxin. The Darrow Chemical Company synthesized massive quantities of it. When corpses were exposed to it, they found that the bodies started jumping around, as though they were alive. They could not be killed, and cremation only releases the contagion into the air. A couple of barrels with Trioxin infected corpses were lost in transit and ended up in a medical supply warehouse in Louisville, KY. Two workers at the Uneeda Medical Supply Company were horsing around and released a body from containment. This resulted in a zombie infestation and the unfortunate nuking of Louisville. I don't believe it worked and I certainly hope those nurses have him tied down because brains are on the menu.

As a heart attack. I used to work at Uneeda with Burt, the guy who owned the company, and this old dude named Frank. Me and him were the guys that were horsing around. Frank was my supervisor, and when we opened one of the Army barrels Burt had in the basement, we let the son of a bitch out and got sprayed with Trioxin. The gas flooded the warehouse and caused all the split dogs and the one cadaver we had in the fridge to start jumping around like they were alive. Even the lepidoptery (butterfly) specimens came back to life. Frank and me had to fight off the cadaver with a fire axe, and when we found you can't kill them, we chopped it up and put it in bags and took it over to Ernst (Ernie) Kaltenbrunner's funeral home. He had a crematorium and we burned the corpse in the crematorium. Unfortunately, when the smoke started to rise from the chimney, it was raining and the rain caused the ash particles to land on the graves in Resurrection Cemetery, which was right next to Ernie's funeral home. We ended up boarding up the funeral home and fighting off the zombies that rose from the graveyard. They managed to break through a small window in the casket storage room and we caught one before we boarded up the window again. Turns out, they can understand us, and we interrogated it, asking why they eat people. That's when we learned they eat brains because brains stop the pain of rotting. I guess it hurts to be dead. It wasn't until near dawn when everything went completely silent that we realized the government had dropped a nuke on Louisville. That was the darkest night of my life.

How can I look any of this up

You probably won't be able to find much. Records of the Darrow Chemical Company have been scrubbed, as have any declassified papers regarding the Army's use of 2-4-5 Trioxin. Burt's started a website for Uneeda, though. uneedamedicalsupply.com. He's got this lazy prick named Freddy building it. The site looks like dog shit, but it's findable. The original building is long gone, but Burt, being the greedy fuck he is, sold his story to a guy in Hollywood. You can find a copy of the movie they made about what happened. It's called "Return Of The Living Dead".
