The violent streak that has been going on for several days in Cúcuta seems to have no end. In the last few hours, the hitman have murdered two people , at a time when the victims were inside their vehicles.

The last event occurred before noon this Thursday, on 0A avenue with 20th street in the populous sector of the Blanco neighborhood, at a time when a woman was inside a white Toyota van .

On a security camera, the moment in which the hitman approaches the vehicle window, pulls out a weapon and shoots against the humanity of this woman, who was identified as Sandra Milena Barrios Bedoya, 47 years old , is observed .

Units of the Cúcuta Metropolitan Police immediately arrived at the scene of the attack, and seeing Sandra alive, they decided to take her to a medical center, where an hour and a half later she died.

A similar event also occurred a few meters from this place on the evening of Wednesday, November 30, at a time when a merchant was attacked when he was driving his truck.

It was learned that at the moment the merchant slowed down to cross in his vehicle, a hitman approached the window and shot him at least four times, leaving him lifeless inside his truck. The murdered merchant was identified as José María Contreras Celis.

Regarding the latest violent acts presented in the capital of the department, the secretary of citizen security, José Alejandro Martínez, indicates that investigations are progressing by a specialized group of the SIJIN.

"Urgent work is being done by the competent authorities, and of course the commitment of absolutely all entities to find the whereabouts of the person or persons who carried out these unfortunate events," says Martínez.

Finally, on the other side in the Carlos Pizarro neighborhood, members of the Technical Investigation Corps of the Attorney General's Office, carried out the removal of a body, which has not yet been identified, so far this year more than 120 cases of hitmen have appeared in Cúcuta, according to figures from the authorities.
