2) In India, the minorities like muslims, christians, jews, zoroastirans, sikhs, jains, buddhists and other people below poverty line, get 50 kgs of rice and 10 kilos of wheat every month for free. This is India's public distribution system that was primarily implemented aiming that "no one goes to sleep hungry no matter how poor" he is.

3) Even being the Highest exporter of many food products,
"India provides free food for 2.5 times the population of USA." That is, 820 million people get free food that includes each family of 5 getting 50 kgs of rice, 10 kgs of wheat, 5 kgs of grains, 2 packets of spices.

4) India is the highest exporter of Spices since many centuries. The spices were the things that attracted british, portugals,dutch, mughals and turks to invade india brutally and loot its wealth which. India had 32% of the world GDP at that time.

1) We don't worship that. We respect the animal. However that is not at all related to bulls roaming on the streets. That's just corrupt govt. of some areas not doing its job.
We love and respect cows because :
1) When mother stops feeding her milk to its child, its the cow that continues providing milk which should have been fed to its calf. Indian consume high amount of milk. Everyone in the our family drinks half a litre milk every single day without a skip. Many indian sweets are made of milk.
So we respect cows as "feeder".

2) Cows are used in fields all over India for plowing. Large part of Indians own farms and fields so its a helpful animal.

3) Even its waste i.e. cow dung is used as manure for crops. Chemical fertilizers have damaged the quality of food u get. And also effected the yield.
While as manure is natural and never looses its yield while providing high quality crops. 190 metric tonnes of dung was recently exported to kuwait, saudi the same arab nations whose illiterate people make fun of Indians for using it as manure.

4) Cow dung is also used to produce biogas/ natural gas, which has high amounts of methane and burns with nearly 100% efficiency higher than petroleum without living any carbon or sulphide emmission.
In rural Indian villages biogas is used to cook food.

Also cows were very beloved pets for Lord Krishna so we don't wanna hurt them.

So due to these reasons we respect and love such multipurpose animal.

Beef is banned in some parts of India. Many southers parts and eastern parts of India still use beef. Other regions use water buffaloo's beef and not cow's.
