when i was in jail we used to force guys that we suspected might be pedos or rapists to get their court papers and bring them to us to prove they had been convicted of other crimes. if they have shown us their documents, fine. if they have refused, bad ... very bad

yes, in the prison where i was that is actually the norm too. but there where also always some pedos who believed they're brave and smart enough to fool everyone around them and went to a "normal" cell block at their own risk. i'm sure it worked for some, but i also remember some where the truth somehow came out after all. and these guys then had a really bad time. at least until they finally had been transfered to what we called their "safe house" (to all the other scum). but i also have to say that prisons in central europe are more like hostels than prisons xD
