The people who were on the 6th block of Atahualpa Street had the scare of their lives. Two subjects aboard a motorcycle arrived at the stall selling “La Rica Bajada” broth and shot 40-year-old Dino Paolo Ramos Castro at point-blank range.

The event occurred yesterday night when a number of adults and minors were tasting their food at various stalls in this sector.

The criminals adjusted their victim for more than 10 minutes and waited for the right moment to shoot him. The police found nine bullet casings on the floor. The delinquents shot to kill and hit six firearm projectiles throughout his body.

After committing this criminal act, the hitmen fled in an unknown direction. Meanwhile, the people who were in the area, as well as his relatives, picked up the victim and took him aboard a motorcycle to the Apoyo Iquitos Hospital, where the doctors did everything possible to try to save his life. but it was all useless. Dino died at the Iquitos Hospital with several bullet wounds to the lungs.

Through police information, it was learned that for several months the hitmen had been following his steps to end his life, which yesterday finally fulfilled his objective.

Personnel from the criminalistics office arrived at the place to lift the bullet casings and other evidence that will serve as a matter of investigation. Agents from the criminal investigation department also arrived, the same ones who began the respective work, placing the security cameras in the area first, which will be very important for the identification of the hitmen.

The city of Iquitos has practically become a no man's land. The assaults are the daily bread and the assassination is becoming customary in this part of the country. The authorities are expected to take action on the matter and take seriously this social problem that is gradually gaining ground.
