    There's a rumor that's what truly happened. I've seen a decent argument for that being the case. Mostly surrounding a few things, such as the inconsistencies with his wife's version of events. Which has slowly changed over time. The place and time of his death. How he was found. Plus the delay between finding him and calling for help. Regarding his wife, a lot of people bend the truth and make shit up when describing how or why a loved one killed themselves. It's generally an effort to spare embarrassment and shame while painting it in the best light they can. Which creates inconsistencies and contradictions as well. So that's not sufficient evidence that she's trying to cover up an autoerotic death. But here's how that night went. He waited for his wife to fall asleep. Then he exited their bedroom and went to an unused bedroom on the other side of the house. He locked the door. Roughly twelve hours later, an assistant of his picked the lock. He was found sitting upright nearly completely on the ground against a closet door naked with an iPad. There was a belt looped around his neck and loosely positioned in a doorjamb in a way that should've pulled out under his full weight if he passed out and his legs went limp. Or if he fell to the side. A classic move by people who jack off that way. Sometimes the setup is botched and people die. Part of his weight was supported by the belt but he was in a sitting position and his butt was on the floor. He had superficial cuts on his wrists. There was a knife next to him. The details later changed to he was clothed. I don't know which is true. It's not a detail that would be easy to get wrong. He was either naked or not. So when the assistant first said he was naked, he then changed it to say he was clothed. I feel it was right the first time and he changed it for reasons unknown. They also stated that the iPad had nothing related to suicide or depression on it. I interpret that as saying it was used for normal shit or porn. However, in my opinion, no, he committed suicide. He has had major depression his whole life stemming from a traumatic childhood. No amount of money or fame will change that. Mental health issues don't disappear. It may even make it worse. His wife claims Lewy body dementia, an aggressive form of dementia that develops really fast, was the reason for his actions. That seems odd, but I'm not a doctor. There are plenty of doctors saying it's a very likely reason. So I don't know, but it doesn't really matter. He's dead and life goes on for the living. I find him annoying. Always acting like a kid and a clown. Always saying chief and never shutting up. But I'm not evil. I'd prefer he had not killed himself. However, it's a thing people do. In the grand scheme of things, we're an insignificant blip in time, we don't matter. So it is what it is. I don't think he was waxing his dolphin when he put the belt around his neck.

There is a movie called World's Greatest Dad where Robin plays a father who finds his son dead from exactly that, lol.  Belt around the neck and hand on his cock.  So his dad dresses up the scene to look like a suicide and types out a fake suicide note.  Then his son becomes like some icon at his school and his dad keeps putting out poetry that he says his son wrote but it was really himself.  It is a pretty good dark comedy movie, actually.  I just find it ironic if Robin really died that way and it was covered up after literally making a movie about exactly that not too long before his death.
