Yeah, that shit gets annoying. It's not uncommon either. I don't understand why so many people point the camera away right before the money shot. It happens a lot with suicide jumpers. So often we don't see the splat.

I didn't type anything about it hitting something. It didn't hit anything. This might be hard to believe for anyone unfamiliar with aircraft. The wings are usually held to the fuselage with only two bolts for non-strut designs. One bolt on the wing and one bolt on the fuselage. Planes with struts have four or five. That plane is a Piper PA-25-235 Pawnee which uses two struts per wing with four breakaway bolts designed to sheer off cleanly when overexerted. Two bolts on the fuselage and two on the wing. That plane was an old one. The bolts and struts need to be checked periodically. They need to be replaced if there are any signs of damage, oxidation, wear, cracks, or after so many flight hours just to be safe. That wing broke away at the spot where the struts and bolts are holding it to the fuselage. Causing it to collapse under load. The wing basically fell off. It didn't break before the failure. It broke because of the failure. So that means the struts or bolts broke. Being as the wing didn't come completely off. It's likely one of the struts broke and the bolts on the second one didn't fail like they were designed to do in situations like that. That's almost always due to poor maintenance plus bad luck. It's Mexico, they have dismal regulations.
