Four antisocials intercepted a man who was walking along 6 de Marzo and Luque streets, in the heart of Guayaquil, to strangle him, beat him and steal his belongings. This without caring that it was 1:30 p.m. on Monday, September 11, and that several people were passing by that place.

This attack was recorded by several video surveillance cameras from private businesses in the area.

In the video you can see how a citizen was walking on the sidewalk, on the side of 6 de Marzo Street, from Luque towards Vélez, when one of the subjects grabs him from behind to strangle him while two others look for his belongings in his pockets.

Another man is also at the scene and enters to take his belongings from his back pockets. The victim tries to free himself, but the four men take him behind a pillar of one of the buildings where they leave the man unconscious.

At the site, residents lamented the aggressiveness with which these antisocials attacked the man and in broad daylight.

And they also said that in that area there are many citizens who rob passers-by at night, who follow some of them to rob them in those dark areas.

Neighbors asked for greater surveillance by agents from the 9 de Octubre district, since in that sector there are many foreign citizens and people who go out to seek transportation after their work in the center and have been assaulted. (YO)
