context 37 year old Gilianderson dos Santos was shot to death on an early Sunday morning (April 25th, 2022) just as he was being discharged from Hospital Santo Amaro. The incident was captured on a surveillance camera near one of the hospital entrances. Gilianderson can be seen in a wheelchair as shown in the video. As he was being discharged from the Trauma Unit of the hospital, two gunmen came into the establishment and shot Gilianderson dos Santos to death as he sat in his wheelchair. Soon after the footage shows the man falling out of his wheelchair and onto the floor due to him having been shot.
When Local authorities where investigating the situation, they found that Gilianderson had been admitted to Hospital Santo Amaro with a gunshot in his buttock and his leg, and after much treatment, he was prepared to be released. But, the gunmen were there to finish the job, successfully this time.
According to Gilianderson's sister he was a drug user who "had no enemies" (apparently she was wrong..) and she "cannot imagine who might be behind this crime."
