Previously, at about 3:00 p.m. on October 17, on Tran Hung Dao Street, Bac Ninh City, a woman was stabbed many times with a knife and died on the spot. The victim was identified as NTP (born 1996, hometown Dai Tu, Thai Nguyen).

(born 2001), and also knew that Ms. B. and Mr. D. often texted each other. This caused Hoang and his lover to have conflicts and quarrel about love.Around July 2022, Hoang worked as a welding worker in Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi. Meanwhile, Ms. B. works as a hairdresser in Bac Ninh.In September 2022, even though he no longer had feelings for Ms. B., Hoang still texted his ex-lover, cursing Ms. B. for "stealing", and Ms. B. also responded with harsh words.At the end of September, Hoang asked his ex-girlfriend to borrow 1 million VND to pay for a phone in installments. In mid-October, Ms. B. asked for money, but the defendant begged and then declared he would not pay.After that, he went online and uploaded a clip of a woman exposing her sensitive area without turning her face, then posted it on his personal Facebook page with a message implying that the person in the clip was Ms. B.

Because Facebook was registered with Ms. B's phone number, she immediately logged into Hoang's Facebook and removed the clip. Because of this, both sides continued to text and curse each other. On October 23, 2022, Hoang had the intention of killing his ex-lover.
