A 73-year-old woman died and two motorcyclists were injured in an accident on Avenida 17 and Rua 20, in the center of Ituiutaba. The accident occurred after the motorcyclists ran the red light at the intersection and were hit by a car. Watch the video above.

In the security camera images, it is possible to see that three motorcycles are stopped on Rua 20, when one of them speeds up while the traffic light is still closed. Two other motorcyclists also speed up.

When they're in the middle of the intersection, a vehicle on Avenue 17, with the traffic light open, hits two motorcycles. The first motorcycle to be hit had two people on it, a mother and son, a 47-year-old man and an elderly woman.

He was thrown onto the opposite side of the road and, according to the Fire Brigade, suffered fractures to his body. The elderly woman was thrown onto the road and suffered a compound fracture to her leg.

Both were taken to São José Hospital, but she couldn't resist her injuries and died.

On the other motorcycle that was hit was another man, aged 62, who suffered bruising to his left leg and was taken to the Municipal Emergency Room.
