I’m so sorry to hear you can’t keep your guns just for the simple purpose of defending your home. But it sounds like you handled it very well without them lol. Even my neighbors know I have a loaded gun in every room of the house just for those what ifs. And my wife had me install 9 cameras around the house. Luckily we should see anyone coming. And when we are out she has a 9mm in her purse and I keep a 1911 .45 on my hip. She has a conceal permit but I don’t. My state allows open carry so let the fuckers see what I got. It’s a shame we have to take these measures just to feel safe and keep our kids safe. But it will be worth it if I can live long enough to see them grow up in this world I got some ready for.

Damn open carry 1911, my guy! That has always been my goto pistol, together with my .38 snub. And i also have cameras installed, but it's not so proffessional, just 3 hidden wifi cameras xD.

I WISH i could hold a gun on my person at all times, that would completely change my life because even though i know how to defend myself and the fact that i don't look like a goody 2 shoes, i still get immense stress from these altercations or the fear that they can happen at any time.

15 months ago a recluse in my street said he would chop my head off, when i approached him he grabbed and aimed a crossbow at me (i still vividly remember a green dot moving across my chest and shining on my eyeball) and sicked his shepherd on me when i dodged his aiming and ran away, (also dodged the dog by climbing a neighbours fence)...  This happened at 23PM. I'm on probation so i acted like a civilian and called the police, they acted at 1:30AM to have an armored up chat with him and said to me afterwards that they could not find a weapon, only a distance measuring laser that he claimed he used , that the dog was very nice and well trained and that i should be able to handle the man physically..
SAME happened 5 months ago where i filed a complaint against a former accomplice trying to get me, Cops told me i should handle him personally at nighttime, and they would ignore any reports about it because they also hate this individual....NOT EVEN KIDDING YOU...
So yes, fair to say, in my situation and with my luck and my face, open carry would solve every last bit of stress that i have in my head. And i would have shot the recluse his dog in a heartbeat when it chased me, sorry not sorry.. my child and dogs come first. Best wishes to ya
