A sad event occurred last Wednesday, February 14, at kilometer 30+050 on the Medellín-Costa Atlántica highway, specifically in the Hatillo sector, arriving at Alto de Matasanos, where a 53-year-old woman lost her life.
The victim, identified as Sonia Restrepo, was getting off the public service bus of the company coonorte, when minutes after her descent, a landslide accompanied by rocks of great magnitude occurred, which took the woman's life.
The fire departments of Barbosa and Donmatías arrived at the place of the emergency, as well as officials of the Vías del Nus concession, who were in charge of removing the stones and proceeding to the lifting of the victim.
It was known through social networks that the woman worked in a garment factory and after leaving work around 6 p.m. she boarded the bus bound for her home, close to the place of the tragedy.
