The Tanjungpinang Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) revealed the latest news about the fatal accident case .
According to Tanjungpinang Police Head of Traffic, Police Commissioner Reza Anugrah, the fatal accident case has been resolved through restorative justice.
Reza said that both parties thought that this accident was an unwanted incident.
So the victim's family and the lorry driver agreed to make peace and not continue the case.
"Both parties agreed to make peace and do not want to continue this accident case," he said, Wednesday (21/2/2024).
Traffic Police investigators, he continued, had examined six witnesses regarding the accident case, including from the Tanjungpinang Transportation Agency.
His party has also coordinated with the Transportation Department and provided suggestions so that the u-turn that occurred when the fatal accident occurred is shifted.
Based on observations, he added, the u-turn was very close to the descent so it was very dangerous for drivers.
"So we think it is very dangerous and must be removed," added the former Tanjungpinang City Police Chief.
It is known that the fatal accident occurred on Friday, January 19 2024 at around 11.00 WIB.
