for the second consecutive day, guatemala's highways are tinged with tragedy with another similar accident involving motorcyclists. on this occasion, the event took place on the busy route between villa hermosa and ciudad real, where two motorcyclists collided head-on in an incident that proved fatal for one of them.

the accident, captured on video and later viralized on social networks, shows the moment in which a motorcyclist tries to join the road. however, the tragedy is triggered when another motorcyclist, who was traveling at excessive speed and performing a dangerous overtaking against the road, collides head-on with him. this initial impact sets off an even more tragic chain of events when the overtaking motorcyclist subsequently crashes into a pickup truck that was also attempting to enter the road.

unfortunately, the outcome of this collision was fatal for one of the motorcyclists involved, according to the official report from the authorities. despite his attempts to get up after the impact, the motorcyclist died just a few seconds later, as can be seen in the heartbreaking video of the accident.

the relevant authorities have launched a thorough investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to this fatal crash and to take measures to help prevent similar tragedies in the future.
