At around 4:00 p.m. on March 17, passenger train LP5 ran towards Hanoi - Hai Phong with driver Le Dinh Thi and assistant driver Vu Van Hai controlling locomotive 924 pulling the train when moving to Km 17+300, Phu Thuy - Lac area. Dao (Lac Dao commune, Van Lam district, Hung Yen province) had a traffic accident, when a female student suddenly walked onto the train tracks and died on the spot.
According to the camera recording the accident, at this time, the automatic barrier was closed but the female student still crossed, leading to a tragic accident.
The victim was identified as Nguyen Thi Thu T (born 2005, residing in Hiep Hoa, Bac Giang).
After the accident, the train captain went down to coordinate with the station to resolve the accident, then continued to run the train.
