Flores: A man ran over a teenager, fled and shot a police officer
The man was arrested after being hit by the police car.
This Monday, City Police officers arrested a man armed with a shotgun after a chase. It all started when the individual displayed the weapon during a traffic argument, hit a minor while she was trying to escape and later shot at the uniformed officers in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Flores .
The situation broke out at the intersection of Yerbal and Helguera , when the accused showed a shotgun during an argument with another driver due to a traffic incident.
Given this situation, the personnel of the 7C Neighborhood Police Station tried to identify the individual, who fled in a truck. During the escape, the accused collided with a 15-year-old minor at the intersection of Avenida Rivadavia and José Martí . The young woman was assisted and transferred by SAME to the Piñero Hospital, without risking her life.
Then, the 46-year-old individual fired shots at the officers. These, aboard the patrol boat, had to retreat to protect themselves from the gunshots.
Finally, the agents managed to arrest the individual at the intersection of Mariano Acosta and Eva Perón Avenues , in Parque Avellaneda , after hitting him with the patrol car. According to the police report, one of the officers was injured in the leg.
