On May 9, an aberrant event occurred that left the population of Bajo Cauca, Antioquia, dismayed, after the murder of a bar manager.

The incident occurred in the municipality of Nechí, Antioquia, in the afternoon when a man was consuming alcoholic beverages in a bar called “Bebidas boricua”, but he had an altercation with the bartender.

The woman identified as María Isabel Carbonell was demanding payment for some beers from the subject and he refused.

Faced with this situation, the 38-year-old woman resisted by snatching the bag she was carrying in order to prevent the man from leaving the place without first canceling the alcoholic drinks.

During the struggle, the woman kicks the man, an act that apparently aroused the man's fury, causing him to react violently against her.

From her pocket he took a knife, rushed towards her and stabbed her twice: the first, at the level of her abdomen and the second, in her back. Instantly the woman vanished, bleeding against a cooler and then fell to the floor.

A person who managed to witness what happened, upon noticing her aggression against the woman, tried to defend her by hitting the man; However, upon noticing that he was armed, he ran away.

The authorities managed to capture the man and will put him at the disposal of the Attorney General's Office to answer for the murder of the woman.
