The Honda car driver who was involved in an accident that resulted in the death of a lorry driver at Kilometer 46.8 of the North-South South Highway, made a police report at the Kulai police headquarters yesterday.

Kulai District Police Chief, Superintendent Tan Seng Lee said the 24-year-old driver made a police report at the Kulai District Police Headquarters Traffic Branch.

According to him, in the report, the car driver claimed that the lorry driver changed direction to cause the accident.

In the incident at 8.25am yesterday, a lorry carrying a load of frozen chicken driven by a 39-year-old victim was hit by the Honda car.

As a result of the collision, the truck overturned and hit a road divider before overturning.

The victim who was trapped in the vehicle, was confirmed dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda car, however, did not suffer any injuries.

Earlier, a video of another vehicle's dashboard camera recording the moment of the fatal accident went viral and received various reactions from the community because it depicted the opposite situation.

Police are still conducting further investigations.
