Two individuals boarded a Perodua Myvi car that died of colliding with an express bus on Jalan Kuala Terengganu - Kota Bahru near Kampung Sungai Ikan here today.

Kuala Terengganu deputy police chief Superintendent Wan Mohd. Zaki Wan Ismail said the victim was identified as Che Ku Yusoff Ali Che Ku Embong, 52, and his wife, Siti Faridah Ahmad, 46.

“The 18-year-old daughter of the two victims in the back seat was injured."

"The 51 year-old express bus driver and seven passengers were also injured in the accident," he said when contacted here today.

Wan Mohd. Zaki said that during the incident, Che Ku Yusoff Ali and his family were said to be on his way home in Felda Belara here while the express bus was heading to Kuantan, Pahang from Kota Bahru, Kelantan.

He said preliminary investigations revealed that the Perodua Myvi car was hit by three children suddenly lost control and came into the opposite lane.

“The express bus in front failed to dodge and crashed into the victim's car and turned around the road," he said.
