Pacajá, Brazil

The city of Pacajá, located in the southwest region of Pará, is in mourning and demands justice after a serious traffic accident on Wednesday night (1st), which resulted in the run over of a couple who were on a motorcycle. The victim, identified as Giseli Brasil Pereira, who was pregnant, died at the scene of the accident, while her husband, Angleison de Souza Silva, survived. The person responsible for the collision is businessman José Vicente Alves Tozetti, who was arrested in the act.

The couple was on a motorcycle when they were hit from behind by an Amarok pickup truck, driven by the businessman known as Zé Vicente. According to information from the Civil Police, which is investigating the case, the accident occurred around 8:30 pm and was recorded on Avenida Transamazônica, in front of the city's Food Court.

Due to the violence of the impact, the couple was thrown approximately 25 meters. The pregnant woman died at the scene, while her husband, Angleison, was rescued and transferred to the Marabá Regional Hospital. He suffered fractures and head trauma. His condition is considered serious, but the health institution did not release details about his clinical condition.

Meanwhile, businessman Zé Vicente managed to flee the scene of the accident in a vehicle. Subsequently, the Military Police located the driver at his residence and arrested him in the act. At the police station, the Police Authority ratified the arrest in the act and determined standard procedures.
