In a tragic traffic accident that occurred this Friday afternoon in the city of Montería, Hilda Banda Navarro, a mother of two small children, lost her life. The accident took place at the intersection of 44th Street and 7th Street, near Los Laureles Park.

According to what was revealed by the authorities and eyewitnesses, the woman was traveling aboard a motorcycle at high speed along 44th Street, east-west direction. Upon reaching the intersection with Carrera 7, apparently, she ignored the stop sign and violently collided with a public service bus that was traveling on her road, with priority.

Videos captured by security cameras located in the area, which later went viral on social networks, show how the events occurred. In the images you can see how the motorcyclist hits the left side of the bus head-on, without being able to brake. As a result of the collision, the woman was ejected several meters and her body was left lying on the road, with no vital signs .

Units from the Metropolitan Police and criminal investigations arrived at the scene to remove the body and carry out the investigation in order to clarify the causes of the accident. Meanwhile, the driver of the bus involved was transferred to the Prosecutor's Office facilities to give his version of the events and determine his degree of responsibility.
