A woman was run over and arrested by a train while crossing a level crossing on the railway line that passes through Itaquaquecetuba in Greater São Paulo.
The accident occurred on Thursday (23), but images of the accident began to circulate on social media this Saturday (25).
A security camera, installed in front of the passage, recorded the day of the accident. In the images it is possible to see a large flow of pedestrians around 3 pm. The passage is on Rua Nossa Senhora D'Ajuda.
The video shows teacher Isabelle Albuquerque, carrying a backpack on her back.
In a hurry and without looking to the sides, she tries to cross and notices the presence of the train when it is on the tracks. The woman is hit and thrown to the side of the railroad.
Frightened, residents who witnessed the accident run to help the woman. The train stops and does not continue its journey.
MRS Logística, responsible for the train, regretted the accident. The company reported that the train was running following all safety procedures when the driver saw a person trying to cross the level crossing, apparently inattentively.
According to the company, the driver intensified the use of the horn and activated the emergency brake, but it was not possible to avoid the accident.
She was helped by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU), but died after suffering a cardiac arrest in the hospital.
