El Suburbio, Balerio Estacio, La Fragata and Colinas de la Alborada are the scenes of the latest murders committed in Guayaquil , a canton where more than 920 violent deaths have been recorded in less than seven months, according to the records of the municipal company Segura EP .

In the first sector, a man was shot around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, between K and 41 streets. He was walking through the area when a hitman intercepted him and shot him 15 times.
Almost at the same time, in Balerio Estacio, a cooperative located in the northwest of the city, an individual was shot on Casuarina Avenue. Agents from the Criminalistics Laboratory collected nine bullet remains that were scattered on the pavement.

Hours earlier, in La Fragata, in the south of the city, there was a double murder on a street next to the dock in that area. The gunmen attacked two men. Both tried to take refuge behind a car parked there, but were hit by the projectiles. According to witnesses, one of the deceased was a minor.
