i once had fire in small storage room. i had wick heater there and it caught fire, i used petrol in it. i quite literally jumped on top of it with a blanket, i burned my pants and hoodie a bit, but i was able to put the fire out, otherwise entire house would have gone. i had no time to react, it went so fast, only thing i had in my reach was blanket, so that's what i used.
