Newly released surveillance video shows the moment a private security guard was ambushed for his weapon, shot the would-be robber dead and collapsed to the ground and died in Colombia.
The incident took place Tuesday December 28 in in the Niza neighborhood in Bogotá, according to local reports.
Video shows the security guard sitting on a terrace with a friend when a gunman approaches him and tries grabbing his gun.
A scuffle between the two ensued and shots were fired from both parties.
The video then shows the suspect attempting to run away and the guard shooting at him — before collapsing in the middle of the street where he died of his injuries.
Footage then shows the security guard also collapsing on the ground, injured by gunfire during the shootout.
He was transported to a local hospital where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
