This video is a few years old but, unlike many other drones on the market, this one was proudly made from Russian parts and running a Russian operating system. It was (just as) proudly launched to a big fanfare and crashed immediately after launch. The whole idea was later scrapped, mainly due to the high cost of foreign parts that were needed to assemble each drone, high rate of theft of said parts and the fact that off-the-shelf, readily-available drones were less than half the price of the Russian Drone, something that, by the end of "re-work", required over 70% of parts not produced in Russian Federation.
Fun fact: the infamous, highly-sophisticated "KA-52 Alligator" attack helicopter is so highly sophisticated that it requires a $65 used Garmin navigation to get around, the built-in GLONASS (Russian GPS) unit does not work and cannot provide coarse/fine location anywhere in the world, requiring no less than 10 minutes of standing still in an open area and with no obstructions. The avionics, targeting hardware, engine management systems (including FADEC, fly-by-wire system, etc.) and lots of other equipment all contain electronics not manufactured in Russia or countries friendly to Russia and are now purchased purchased illegally, at a much higher price from smugglers, something that Russia refers to as a "Parrallell Imoort", since neither NATO countries or countries that are subject to the rules of the sanctions imposed in Russia by the United States and its partners would sell them the necessary parts or equipment. The list of electronics under said embargo isn't limited to just microprocessors, motherboards and etc., it also includes very sophisticated 5-axis milling machines, CNC routers, Plasma Cutter guns and much more. These are the reasons why Russian planes and jet fighters keep crashing... I think it's embarrassing that a county, as big as Russia, has to pull tricks to buy outdated electronics at three times the price and why? Because they need to GET THE FUCK OUT OF UKRAINE!
