THIS is the distressing moment a convicted killer smashed a glass into a girl's face in a restaurant in Russia, leaving her unable to smile.
Footage shows victim Olga Shchigoreva speaking to a man at a restaurant before she is glassed in a jealous rage after reportedly rejecting him.
She had been invited out to the restaurant by a female friend that evening and they had then been joined by two men.
One of the men at the table gets up and confronts the attacker but he is left bloodied as well before the footage ends.
The attacker was later detained and identified as convicted killer Denis Pityul.
The 38-year-old was jailed for 10 years after fatally attacking an acquaintance in a restaurant with a knife in 2011.
