Sadistic! Mother slits her 18-day-old baby's neck due to frustration at not having a daughter.

Labuhanbatu police secured a mother suspected of killing her own child in Hamlet III, Bangun Rejo Village, District Na IX-X, North Labuhanbatu Regency. This tragedy happened on Monday, September 23, 2024, around 09.30 WIB. The perpetrator is known to have the initials YW(33), who is strongly suspected of slitting the neck of his 18-day-old toddler, MA.

According to information from the police, the perpetrator slit his son's neck after he finished bathing the victim. He then took a machete and an ax from the kitchen, then boldly cut his son's neck until the victim died instantly. A neighbor, Muharni, who first noticed this incident after hearing the perpetrator say, "Look at my son, look at my son."
After seeing the victim, Muharni shouted for help.

The surrounding community who heard Muharni's scream immediately gathered and found the victim dead on the bed with a laceration on the neck. Evidence in the form of an axe, a machete, and a baby mattress were found at the scene.

Labuhanbatu Police Chief, AKBP Dr. Bernhard L. Malau, S.I.K., M.H., through Kasi Humas AKP Syafrudin in his testimony expressed great concern over this incident. "This incident is really tragic and goes beyond the limits of humanity. We immediately moved quickly after receiving a report from the citizens, and we have also secured the perpetrator and we will delve further into the psychological psychological aspects of the perpetrator." said the Public Relations Officer.

The temporary motive that was successfully dug up by the police revealed that the perpetrator was disappointed because the child he gave birth to was a boy. The perpetrator is admitted to want a daughter very much. Currently, the victim's remains have been taken to Rantau Prapat Hospital for further autopsy, while the perpetrators have now been secured and taken to Labuhanbatu Police Station to undergo further examination.
