The Civil Police are investigating the attempted murder that occurred during what was supposed to be a robbery, this Saturday (12), in the Canudos neighborhood, in Novo Hamburgo, Vale do Sinos. The 34-year-old victim, owner of a restaurant, was shot in the head and is hospitalized. The shot, in the back of the neck, was fired by a man who had overpowered her, after repeated failures in the gun's firing system.

— It could be a robbery, an attempted homicide . At this point, we cannot rule out any hypothesis. The victim survived. Only she and the criminals know what was said before the shots were fired — points out the delegate of the Homicide and Personal Protection Department (DHPP), Pedro Trajano.

The incident, which happened early in the morning, caught the attention of the authorities due to the shooter's insistence . The shopkeeper arrived at around 6:45 am to open the establishment, located on Rua Vereador Darci Jaime Keller, in a Honda Biz.

The assailant arrives on the back of a motorcycle. He starts a fight with the victim and manages to restrain her. While the woman tries to free herself from the attacker's control, he tries to shoot her with the barrel of the gun stuck to the back of her skull at least nine times, according to authorities.

— She ( the victim ) had already handed over the key. There are a series of investigations underway and, in fact, at this moment, we cannot rule anything out — says the delegate.
