A or Ar (29), a husband killed his wife, F (22) who also came from Balangan Regency, South Kalimantan Province (Kalsel), by beheading the victim on Sunday (13/10/2024) at 22.30 WITA.

The sadistic murder took place at the PT Pelita Makmur Niaga (PMN) Mess, Belimbing Village, Long Ikis District, Paser Regency .

Before the murder occurred, the husband and wife had been arguing over financial matters until the wife asked for a divorce.

Long Ikis Police Chief, AKP Alimuddin said the case of a husband killing his wife was revealed after receiving a public report that a murder had occurred in the PT PMN employee barracks.

"At around 22.18 WITA after receiving information, the witness in this case the reporter when he arrived at the location found the perpetrator A carrying the head of the victim F in a severed condition so the witness immediately reported what he saw to the Long Ikis Police," explained Alimuddin, Tuesday (15/10/2024) quoted from Tribunnews .

"The two of them often got into arguments, from the perpetrator's statement, the victim always demanded economic terms and threatened to ask for a divorce which made the perpetrator emotional and took a machete from the room," he said.

Before being killed, the victim had time to calm her husband down so that he would stop his cruel actions.

"The victim managed to calm the perpetrator down when the perpetrator approached and was ready to slash him, but the perpetrator continued to slash him until his neck and hand were severed," he said.

Based on witness statements, after carrying out his actions, the perpetrator left the house while carrying the victim's head which had been separated from his body.

The perpetrator hit the victim's head while holding a machete and screaming incoherently. Not long after, the perpetrator released his wife's head from his grip.

"After the head was removed, the perpetrator then grabbed his child who was about 3 years old and lifted him up while walking back and forth in the yard of the company's employee dormitory," he said.

After pacing back and forth in the company mess several times, the perpetrator suddenly became weak and fell.

"The perpetrator suddenly became weak and fell down by himself, from that moment the residents immediately acted together to secure the perpetrator while contacting officers. The victim's body was then taken to Panglima Sebaya Regional Hospital for a post-mortem," concluded Alimuddin.

From this incident, the police confiscated evidence in the form of a machete and a green housedress belonging to the victim and the perpetrator was charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 15 years in prison.
