BHOPAL: A murder convict on parole was shot dead by two assailants while on an evening walk in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. Prime suspicion of this murder is on a family living in Canada.

The murder, which was captured on CCTV, has since gone viral on social media. The victim, identified as Jaswant Singh Gill, was reportedly walking in Gopal Bagh City in Dabra when he was ambushed.
Two unidentified men, riding a motorcycle, fired three shots at Gill and fled the scene immediately. The entire incident was captured by a CCTV camera installed in the area.
Gill, who was seriously injured in the attack, was rushed to a hospital in Gwalior by his family.

He succumbed to his injuries shortly after the incident.
Jaswant Singh Gill, 35, was serving a life sentence for a 2016 murder conviction but was granted parole in recent weeks. He was residing at his home in Gopal Bagh City during his parole period. The motive for the shooting is believed to be related to old rivalries stemming from his past criminal activities.
Gwalior police responded to the scene after receiving reports of the shooting.
