Two people died after a collision between a car and a truck in the rural area of Pequizeiro. The victims are Luiz Henrique Freitas da Silva, 19, and Kauã Mendes Bezerra da Silva, 13.



The accident occurred on the TO-336 highway, about 8 km from Pequizeiro, on Wednesday (8). The truck driver suffered minor injuries.



According to the Military Police (PM), the driver said he was traveling east/west on the highway, near the town of Goiany dos Campos, when the victims' car invaded the opposite lane at high speed and collided head-on with the truck.



The driver also reported that he tried to avoid the collision by braking suddenly, but was unable to do so. The victims' car was destroyed, and the two occupants died at the scene.



The incident was reported at the 7th Civil Police Service Center in Guaraí. The expert and autopsy reports will be sent to the 43rd Police Station in Pequizeiro, which will investigate the circumstances of the accident ..
