The ages old question arises when trying to save suicidal people... If you help the person, you prolong its suffering many times more; and, if you let them go, then personal feelings of guilt from not having done anything start to invade. Which one is the right choice? Is there even one?

I'm more inclined to just let them do their thing. Sure, then you can use that cliché phrase that suicide is a permanent solution to a momentary problem, but that phrase is too shallow. It only works for fleeting outbursts of unhappiness or temporary depressive states. Some people really go through some serious trials and tribulations in life, some that often don't have any way to be truly resolved or fixed in any way or form other than through the solace of death.

It's certainly a mentally conflicting subject.

So the chance of actually doing the good thing by saving him is 50%. But u also make that chance higher when u consider his family.
