Accident in Lepaera leaves two dead and two seriously injured

Lepaera, Lempira – A grandmother and her granddaughter lost their lives in a tragic traffic accident that occurred this Wednesday in the El Calvario neighborhood of Lepaera, Lempira, in western Honduras.

The accident resulted in the death of Escarleth Nicol, 20, who was driving the car, and her grandmother, Cristina Guardado Ramírez, 70.

The incident happened after the vehicle experienced mechanical failure, causing the driver to lose control and crash into a house.

Two other passengers in the car were injured and were transported to a local medical center.

One of the victims was ejected from the front of the vehicle due to the impact and died at the scene from the injuries, while the other person passed away at the hospital.

So far, no official report has been issued by the police authorities. Family members of the victims arrived at the scene and recovered the body of Cristina Guardado Ramírez.
