Residents of the Valladolid neighborhood in the town of Kennedy found themselves embroiled in a case of vigilante justice on the night of Wednesday, May 28, after catching two men who had allegedly robbed a woman minutes earlier.

This was revealed by a witness to the beating, along with a series of videos, in conversations with the Pasa whistleblowing channel in Bogotá.

“ At around 7:30 p.m. on May 28, the community of the Valladolid neighborhood in the town of Kennedy arrested two men who allegedly robbed a woman. Neighbors and passersby, tired of so much insecurity, beat them several times and burned the motorcycle they were riding.”

In the recordings, at least 15 people, including neighbors and pedestrians, can be seen surrounding the suspects and taking turns hitting them. However, one of them managed to break free and advance a few meters until he was caught by the community
