A 15-year-old student allegedly stabbed a 16-year-old classmate during a fight between classes Wednesday morning. The suspect has been charged with malicious wounding. The student could be charged as an adult, but the Fairfax County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office said they are still investigating and "no decisions have been made at this time." (April 28, 2025).
The incident prompted an immediate response from Fairfax County Public Schools, which installed a weapons detection system at the school the very next morning. Although the school was not originally part of a pilot program to test the technology, the stabbing accelerated its inclusion.
