On September 13, 2025. Three people were stabbed to death in different locations, and a fourth victim remains hospitalized. According to police, the first attack occurred around 3:40 a.m., when a resident called police after finding relatives stabbed inside their home. The mother was rushed to the hospital but succumbed. The father was found dead upstairs, while one of the sons survived his injuries and remains hospitalized. Minutes later, another body was found near the bus station. Investigations indicate that the same person is responsible for all the attacks. Security camera footage captured the perpetrator fleeing the scene armed with a knife. Police located the suspect, identified as Rafael Araújo de Magalhães, 30 yo, hiding in the back of a hotel. During the approach, Rafael reacted with a knife, threatening officers. The police shot him. He was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Authorities reported that the man was a drug addict and was in a state of depression.
