Ratchaburi - A 60-year-old man went berserk with a knife and chased police officers before being shot and killed. His daughter laments that her father is mentally ill and insists on pursuing legal action. Police emphasized that the attack was self-defense tactics.

Today (September 24), Pol. Lt. Col. Phalanchai Chaichana, the duty officer at Mueang Ratchaburi Police Station, received a report of a man being shot and injured in Soi 3, Village 3, Tha Rap Subdistrict, Mueang District, Ratchaburi. The man died on the way to the hospital along the old Phetkasem Road, Village 2, Tha Rap Subdistrict.
At the scene, the deceased was later identified as Mr. Suraphon, 60, with gunshot wounds to his right thigh, heel, and shin, as well as a head injury. It is suspected he fell and hit the ground. Officials have sent the body to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at Ratchaburi Hospital for an autopsy. This

follows a report from the 191 Ratchaburi radio center earlier that a man was acting berserk with a knife and wielding a berserk in an alley, fearing he might pose a danger to the public. Patrol officers from Mueang Ratchaburi Police Station inspected the scene and found the perpetrator holding a knife. Therefore, we requested reinforcements, including Police Lieutenant Worasak Klongngam, Deputy Inspector of Crime Suppression, along with other officers to join in the quelling of the incident.
