An app-based motorcycle driver died after being involved in a head-on collision with a bus this Thursday morning (the 5th) in Salvador. The accident happened in an area known as Pinicão, between the neighborhoods of Cajazeiras V and Cajazeiras 8, and caused traffic delays, according to information from TV Bahia.
Due to the impact of the crash, the motorcycle ended up wedged underneath the bus. Witnesses reported that the motorcyclist lost control before the collision, fell onto the roadway, and was thrown in front of the bus.

According to accounts from people at the scene, the crash occurred on a hill considered dangerous by residents and drivers. The road is narrow, has two-way traffic, and has a history of frequent accidents, especially during peak hours.

The Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) was called, but the man succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene. People who witnessed the accident reported that the victim showed signs of breathing moments after the collision and that his death was not immediate.

Also according to witnesses, the arrival of the rescue team was hindered by heavy traffic and congestion caused by the partial closure of the road. Due to the accident, one of the lanes had to be blocked, which worsened traffic flow in the area throughout the morning
