The deceased was identified as Elifete Pierré, a resident of the community of Batey 5, in the Municipal District of Palmar. The victim was a wagon driver of the wagon owned by the tenant company of the Barahona sugar mill.
His remains are being watched over at his residence, after being picked up by the authorities, confirmed the former neighbor of the deceased, Alejandro Emilio Babal, a.k.a. Chiquito. Pierré's body was left under the wagon in the accident that occurred around 7:00 a.m. this Tuesday morning.
