In less than an hour, three men were shot to death under different circumstances in the Manta District, the most violent in the province of Manabi. A total of 39 cases have been registered in this territory so far in 2024.

The first crime occurred at approximately 23h30, on Monday, March 11, in the sector of Jaramisol, jurisdiction of the Jaramijó canton. A man was executed while walking under a tree. The victim was identified as Lenin Emiliano Solorzano Ostaiza. According to the Judicial Function website he had no criminal record.

Before midnight the second attack was registered. Two men identified as Robert Orlando Vásconez Parrales and Carlos Javier García Navia, were shot dead in the front yard of a rehabilitation clinic.

This case occurred on the road to Los Corrales, territory of the canton of Montecristi. In the area, the population was surprised by what happened.

The bodies were taken to the Forensic Center of Manta. The National Police is investigating the causes of these bloody events.
