Raging BMW Driver Intentionally Rammed Into A Motorcyclist After An Argument ,UK (Infos)
Description

Horrifying moment motorcyclist in his 40s is catapulted into the air off a bridge by 'road rage' BMW driver, 34, who rammed him after pair swapped 'non-verbal exchange', leaving rider seriously injured - as motorist is jailed for nearly five years

  • This is the terrifying moment a motorcyclist was catapulted off a bridge landing in a nearby bush after he was violently rammed by a BMW driver in a fit of 'road rage'.

Shocking footage released by police showed driver Nikesh Mistry recklessly forcing the motorcyclist onto the wrong side of the road in Milton Keynes following a 'non-verbal' exchange.

The 34-year-old driver, who was today jailed for almost five years for his 'very serious assault', squashed Jamie Burns between his silver BMW 320 and a metal bridge railing after the pair got into an argument.

The BMW is seen travelling at speed while the green motorbike is seen on his inside. The car then smashes into another car travelling from the opposite direction, with the rider being flung off his bike and over a bridge, landing in undergrowth.

Mr Burns, who is in his 40s, was airlifted to hospital to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridgeshire, with his wife Sam later claiming he was 'lucky to be alive'.

Updating friends on his health on social media following the crash on November 19 2022, she told loved ones the father had 'a long road of recovery ahead of him' and thanked those who helped looked after their children.

The horrific accident left Mr Burns with a broken foot, fractured ribs and a fracture to his spine.

Mistry had pleaded guilty to two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving on December 20, 2023. He had also pleaded guilty to one count causing grievous bodily harm with intent following a hearing at Aylesbury Crown Court.

Today the man from Milton Keynes was sentenced to a total of four years and ten months in prison. He was also disqualified from driving for four years and ten months - and will need to take an extended re-test before getting his licence back.

  • She wrote on Facebook: 'Jamie has been airlifted to Addensbrook Hospital where we remain, he's lucky to be alive, broken foot, fractured ribs and a fracture to his spine.'

Ms Burns asked for help on the social media network in finding witnesses to the incident.

She wrote: 'We are hoping the power of Facebook will help us locate the witnesses that remained at the scene and the family that were involved in the head on collision because of some guy that couldn't control his road rage.'

Ms Burns esponded to the post, thanking the couple's families for helping 'look after the children' and added that Jamie had 'a long road of recovery ahead of him'.

Mistry also caused serious injuries to the front passenger of the car he collided head on with and they were taken to Milton Keynes University Hospital via ambulance following the incident.

Investigating officer PC Phil McGlue of the Roads Policing Unit, said: 'This case is an extreme example of road rage.

'Mistry was not in any immediate danger and chose to respond in a manner that was so violent and so disproportionate that he turned road disagreement into a very serious assault.

'Drivers who behave in such a manner will be rigorously investigated and held to account for their actions and Mistry will now serve a prison sentence as a result of those decisions.'
