Four men dressed as agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) were walking along 9th Street. street and Avenida Reforma, in zone 9, a few meters from the Social Security General Hospital for Diseases. According to vendors in the sector, the PNC was present all week.

At 9 in the morning with 43 minutes, Miriam Reguero Sosa, from the MP Liquidation Prosecutor's Office, left with her mother Miriam Sosa from a building located on 9th street.

One of her bodyguards descends some steps, at the same time that the black car in which they were traveling accelerates to park in front of the building.

One of the subjects wearing a uniform similar to those of the PNC passes in front of them, while a bodyguard opens the rear door of the vehicle.

Seconds later, another subject dressed as a police officer draws his gun and begins shooting at the bodyguard who opened the door. Seconds later, three other men dressed as PNC agents also take out their guns and shoot the prosecutor, her other bodyguard and her mother.

The two women fall to the ground, while one of the guards throws himself to the ground trying to get the gun out of him.

The uniformed criminals run towards Reforma Avenue, where they left two motorcycles parked on which they fled.

After the shooting, doctors from the Social Security General Hospital for Diseases run to help the wounded. Both entered the emergency room at the healthcare center, but minutes later they died due to skull injuries.

The deceased were identified as Carlos Humberto González, 55, the prosecutor's guard, and Miriam Sosa, 65, Reguero's mother.

This is the second time that Reguero has been shot. The first attack was in 2022 in zone 3 of the capital.
