Hardoi. A tragic incident occurred on Monday in the Mallawan police station area when a 21-year-old woman, riding a bike with her sister and brother-in-law, attempted suicide by jumping in front of a moving truck. The woman was seriously injured in the accident and was first referred to the Mallawan CHC and later to the district hospital.

According to reports, Shivani (21), daughter of Kishanpal, a resident of Shahpur Vasudev police station, Madhoganj, was traveling with her elder sister Seema and brother-in-law Dinesh, a resident of Jagatnagar Lohana, Bangarmau police station. On the way, they stopped to buy samosas at a small intersection on the Katra Bilhaur highway. Shivani suddenly jumped in front of an oncoming truck.

The truck's rear wheel passed over her waist, seriously injuring her. Panic gripped the scene, and a large crowd gathered. Upon receiving the information, local police arrived at the scene and, with the help of an ambulance, transported the girl to the Community Health Center, Mallawan. Doctors, seeing her critical condition, referred her to the district hospital.

No clear information has yet emerged regarding the cause of the incident. Senior Sub-Inspector Radheshyam stated that CCTV footage clearly shows the girl intentionally jumped in front of the truck. Police are investigating the matter and are questioning the family members. The incident has created an atmosphere of panic and discussion in the area.
